Hon. Kwabena Owusu Aduomi is a Ghanaian politician and a former Member of Parliament of Ghana. He is a member of the New Patriotic Party and the former deputy minister for Roads and Highways in Ghana under Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s first term in office.
Born on September 17, 1960 and holds BSC(Civil Engineering) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST),Kumasi . Aduomi became a maintenance engineer at the Highway Authority in Temale in 1987–1994, then proceeded to be a projects manager at highway authorities in the western region in 1994–2002. He became the regional director for highways in the Ashanti region in 2002–2008. He then became a member of the 6th parliament of the 4th republic of Ghana.
Political life: He was elected as MP for Ejisu Constituency in the Ashanti Region of Ghana in 2009 and held the position till 2020 he lost in his party’s parliamentary primaries to the incumbent MP. He was selected to join the subsidiary legislation committee and the Local Government and Rural Development Committee. .Hon.Kwabena Owusu Aduomi who has declared his intention to contest for the Ashanti regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) which is currently occupied by Mr.Bernard Antwi Boasiako who is popularly known in the political space as Chairman Wontumi.
Even though, many political watchers and leading members of NPP have underrated his seriousness due to his silent campaign for the contest but one of the party’s fire-brands in Ashanti region and a former member of Wontumi’s campaign team ,Hon.Abraham Boadi aka Opooman has described Hon.Kwabena Owusu Aduomi as very calm but he is dangerous. Speaking to Happy FM’s Don Prah on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show recently he said “our father and Friend ,Odeneho Kwaku Appiah is on top.I am saying this based on the things I have seen on the grounds. Aduomi has also been campaigning for a week now with some flyers. He is very calm but he is dangerous .Bur I believe Odeneho is in the lead. But the competition is between Odeneho and Aduomi”,he added.
