The District best coconut farmer for Sekyere-Kumawu in the Ashanti Region of Ghana,Hon. Kofi Adade who doubles as the assembly member of Kumawu-Dadease electoral area, has advised Ghanaian youth to go into farming since it is a great paid occupation.
Hon Adade who also a news reporter of Oyerepa Fm/TV stated emphatically that, farming is an occupation that pays hence everyone, especially the youth should engage in it. Adding that the youth who have migrated to the cities to seek for jobs should not waste time in the cities if life comes unbearable for them due to lack of jobs, they should go back to farming.
The best district coconut farmer was speaking to the media, after the 37th National farmers’ day award ceremony. Hon.Kofi Adade emerges the winner with 267 coconut trees as compared to others. According to him, the recognition is a challenge for him to work extra hard.For his award,Hon.Kofi Adade received a certificate and other farming inputs.
