The New Trust Newspaper has gathered that ,an ultimatum given to Asafo Market temporal allocatees by Alhaji & Madina Company Ltd,has lapsed but a number of the traders or beneficiaries have still not complied with the directives.
This paper has gathered that, the Ultimatum was contained in a letter dated 28th September, 2021 addressed to the Metro -Coordinating Director, Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.
The letter headlined ”ULTIMATUM TO TEMPORAL ALLOCATEES ” was signed by Umaru Djangana ,Project Manager and was dully copied to both Assembly member of Asafo Electoral area and Convener,Market Committee respectively.
The full context of the letter reads “The above -named company wish to draw your attention to the temporal allocatees of shops at Asafo Market phase One in order to make way for the Phase two project.
They have been allocated shops both at the down floor and upstairs of the phase one for free for them to use in order for us to undertake the development of the phase two.
the phase two is almost done and we would want them to pay the agreed amount of Forty-five Thousand Ghana cedis (Ghc 45,000.00) pet shop to reclaim their original shops at the phase two before Tuesday, 16th November, 2021.So that those whose shops are at the phase one could also occupy same for their trading activities. Shop owners who would fail to pay by this date would have their shops given out to interested traders.
I hope your good office would take the necessary actions to this our demand. Yours Faithfully, UMARU DJANGANA
