KEJETIA MARKET: WHY KSI CITY MARKETS LTD REVOKED ALLOCATION OF SHOPS TO DEFAULTED OWNERS

The New Trust Newspaper has intercepted a letter dated 20th August, 2020 signed by Hon.Osei Assibey Antwi, Board Chairman for Kumasi City Markets Ltd, managers of newly constructed Kejetia Market detailing why they revoke allocation to defaulted shop owners.

The full letter entitled “REVOCATION OF ALLOCATION AT KEJETIA, reads, ”You may recall that sometime in 2020, you were allocated store numbered STORE No:F3449 at the newly constructed Kejetia Market.

Among the conditions of your allocation was to pay at least twenty percent (20%) of the premium assigned to the store on or before the 31st of December 2019 and occupy the store within a reasonable time.

It is almost a year since you took possession of the keys to the store, yet you have not occupied the store neither have you paid any amount.

Your action amounts to an utter disregard and a breach of the condition of your allocation as well as a breach of the undertaking you signed before allocation of the keys.

By this letter, the Kumasi City Markets Limited hereby revokes your allocation of store numbered Store:No.F3449 Kejetia Kumasi.

You are hereby directed to deposit the keys with the Manager at our offices at Kejetia. Thank You”.Story by investigative desk report
